I was honored to be invited to the official handover and inauguration ceremony for the Queensland African Communities Council (QACC) Executive Management Committee, a significant occasion in the calendar for the African community in Queensland.
Held at the Unity Hub Community Centre in Slacks Creek, the event marked the transition of leadership, welcoming the newly appointed President and committee members, while also expressing our deep gratitude to the outgoing President, Beny Bol, for his dedication and service. Leadership transitions like this are a testament to the strength, resilience, and unity within the community, ensuring continued advocacy, representation, and support for African Australians across Queensland.
A heartfelt thank you to those who have served, dedicating their time and effort to uplifting the community, and congratulations to the new Executive Committee as they embark on this next chapter. I wish you all the very best in your leadership and look forward to seeing the continued growth, success, and positive impact of QACC in the years ahead.
