Every Australia Day, I have the honor and privilege of participating in Citizenship Ceremonies across our region—a truly special moment that marks the beginning of a new chapter for so many individuals and families.
Today, I attended my first citizenship ceremony of the day, hosted by the Lions Club of Inala at The Blue Fin Fishing Club. It was an incredible celebration, welcoming 80 new Australian citizens from more than 22 different countries—each bringing with them unique cultures, traditions, and experiences that enrich the fabric of our diverse nation.
A special mention to the biggest family to ever become citizens in a single ceremony in the history of the Inala Citizenship Celebrations—a remarkable family of eight who all officially became Australian citizens today! Moments like these highlight the true spirit of Australia—unity, diversity, and a shared commitment to building a brighter future together.
To all our new citizens, congratulations! I look forward to seeing the positive contributions I know you will make to our beautiful country. Australia is stronger because of you! Welcome home.
