After the two week sitting of Parliament, I took the first opportunity to visit the Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Boronia to show my support following the vile racist graffiti attack.
At times like this, it is vital to show support and solidarity. An attack on one community is an attack on all of us.
The community is showing great resilience following the attack and I was moved by how the local community and people of all faiths have wrapped their arms around the congregation at the temple.
I was also inspired by the charitable endeavours of the congregation in supporting people in need.
At the temple, I met Brad Battin, Victorian Opposition Leader who was also visiting and providing his support.
