Today I pressed Senator Wong on Labor’s proposed trust tax changes and their impact on charities and not-for-profits.
Despite concerns that a large share of charitable donations could be affected, the Government still could not explain why it announced the policy before fully understanding the consequences for the sector.
Australian charities deserve certainty, not confusion. I’ll keep pushing for answers on behalf of the community organisations that help Australians every day.
