I was deeply saddened to learn that Dr Cuong Bui passed away.
As President of the Vietnamese Community in Australia Qld Chapter Inc, Dr Bui provided outstanding leadership.
The latest project I was working with Dr Bui on was the publication of a yearbook commemorating 50 years since the fall of Saigon to the communists. This was the genesis for establishment of our wonderful Australian Vietnamese community.
Dr Cuong Bui’s years and years of service to our community represents the very best of Australian values.
My thoughts and prayers are with Dr Bui’s family, friends and the Queensland Vietnamese community.
Dr Bui will be dearly missed.
