Media Release – Senator Welcomes Bundamba Land Release to Boost Housing Supply

Shadow Minister for Immigration and Shadow Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, Senator Paul Scarr has welcomed the Queensland Government’s announcement to unlock 6.1 hectares of development-ready land in Bundamba, Ipswich, as a positive step toward addressing the state’s housing supply challenges.

“This is a constructive move by the Queensland Government, and I commend the partnership with Ipswich City Council to deliver more homes for Queenslanders,” Senator Scarr said.

“Unlocking land for housing is essential, especially in high-growth areas like Ipswich. It’s encouraging to see action being taken to support local families and ease housing pressures”.

Senator Scarr has reaffirmed the Coalition’s commitment to working constructively with all levels of government to deliver practical solutions that strengthen communities and improve living standards.
