Media Release – Local Organisations Strengthening Relationships With Latin America

Senator Paul Scarr congratulates local organisation, Griffith Institute for Tourism, for being awarded a $3,971 Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) grant.

The Council supports the development of sustainable partnerships between Australian and Latin American institutions, professional bodies, non-governmental organisations and private sector organisations in education, business, sustainability, tourism, arts and culture.

“The Griffith Institute for Tourism’s project, Empowering women in tourism through entrepreneurial digital competencies, is one of ten successful recipients of COALAR’s 2019-2020 grants program to promote projects in Australia and across Latin America.

This is just one example of the diverse and innovative projects from the electorate of Moreton” Senator Scarr said.

The Morrison Government is committed to promoting people-to-people and institutional linkages between Australia and Latin America.
