Media Release – LNP To Deliver $1m To University Of Queensland Cricket Club

An elected Dutton Coalition Government will provide $1M to build inclusive change rooms at the University of Queensland Cricket Club.

LNP Candidate for Ryan, Maggie Forrest said “These upgrades will benefit the more than 500 players that call the University of Queensland Cricket Club home. The club has had recent achievements during the 2024/25 season including a 1st grade team win during a one day competition so these upgrades are deserved”.

President of the University of Queensland Cricket Club, Brendan Logue said “UQCC currently enters eight men’s teams, two women’s teams, and a men’s over 40’s team in the Queensland Premier Cricket Competition so these new changerooms are going to be an absolute game changer for the club and it’s members”.

Under a Dutton Coalition Government, the Ryan community will be stronger, more secure, and better supported because Ggetting Australia Back on Track means keeping Australia safe, making it safer for families, safer for businesses, and safer for communities.

An elected Coalition Government will deliver grant funding to councils, schools, and local organisations as part of their commitment and plan to strengthen our local communities.
