An elected Coalition Government will provide $800,000 to Radio 4EB to establish a new digital studio, helping to keep our Multicultural Communities informed with more accessible and inclusive broadcasting.
Radio 4EB has been the voice of Multicultural Queensland for decades now, broadcasting in more than 55 languages with its studio facilities based in the heart of Griffith, on Main Street at Kangaroo Point.
Liberal National Party Candidate for Griffith, Anthony Bishop says “For 45 years, 4EB has been a vital voice for our multicultural communities, keeping their voices alive on the air. This $800,000 investment will mean 4EB can enhance the quality of their facilities without disruption to current programming”.
He continued “Community radio stations like 4EB are important for our community because they amplify diverse voices and provides vital services. They offer localised content, promote cultural expression, and serve as a lifeline during crises, ensuring we have access to information and support”.
Senator for Queensland, Paul Scarr said “4EB is South-East Queensland’s only full-time Multicultural Radio Station, broadcasting 24/7 to many community groups. I’m proud to support this investment of $800,00 to assist 4EB to transform and upgrade their facilities for their presenters and listeners alike”.
He continued “Through my involvement with Radio 4EB, I know how hard they have been striving to upgrade their facilities over a number of years, so it’s fantastic to see an elected Dutton Coalition Government will provide the much-needed project funding to get these studio upgrades across the line”.
This commitment is part of the Coalition’s plan to strengthen our local communities and get our country Back on Track.
