I was privileged to accept an invitation to attend the retirement function for Sergeant Jim Bellos OAM APM on Thursday Night at the Calamvale Function Centre.
Jim has served in the Queensland Police Service for 34 years and has been integral in establishing the strong positive relationship between QPS and our multicultural communities.
The event was attended by Premier David Crisafulli, Mayor Adrian Schrinner, retired Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson and many community leaders – a sign of the respect in which Jim is held.
There have been countless young people who have benefitted from Jim’s leadership and mentoring.
