Thank you to Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland for hosting a wonderful International Women’s Day Breakfast at The Greek Club this morning. This year during Queensland Women’s Week, the theme ‘Balancing the Scales’ was a timely reminder of the importance of fairness, equity and opportunity for women across all sectors of society. It was inspiring to acknowledge the 2026 ECCQ Advancing Women’s Scholarship award winners, Solange Lipcin, recipient of the Cleo Xynias Multicultural Woman of the Year award, and Antoinette Aquillina, recipient of the Emerging Professional Scholarship Award.
