Honoring India Republic Day in Queensland

Last Sunday marked India Republic Day, and I was honored to be invited by the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland Inc. to join in their celebrations, bringing together both the Australian and Indian communities in a fantastic display of unity and cultural pride.

This occasion was more than just a celebration—it was a reflection of the deep and growing ties between India and Australia in trade, tourism, education, and culture. The Queensland Indian Community plays a vital role as a human bridge connecting our two nations, fostering relationships that strengthen both economies and societies.

From vibrant performances to inspiring conversations, the event showcased the rich cultural heritage of India while highlighting the shared values that unite us. I even had the chance to catch up with Logan Mayor Jon Raven, who was also there to support this important event!

A huge thank you to the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland for their incredible hospitality and dedication to strengthening ties between our communities. Events like these are a testament to the power of multiculturalism, inclusion, and friendship.

Happy India Republic Day to all!
