Last night, I attended the Vietnamese Community in Australia’s Tet Festival celebrating the Lunar New Year alongside Kerri-Anne Dooley, QLD State Member for Redcliffe.
This year is the ‘Year of the Snake’ which is the sixth animal in the 12-year cycle of Asian Zodiac signs. The year of the snake symbolizes wisdom, intelligence, charm and elegance.
I would like to thank Doctor Cuong Bui for extending the invitation to me. Dr. Bui is the current Queensland President of the Vietnam Community in Australia.
One of the parts of the festival I really enjoy is providing recognition to high performing students in the Queensland Vietnamese Community.
Congratulations! Happy Lunar New Year.
