After great pressure from veterans and the Coalition and other stakeholders, the Albanese Labor Government has abandoned its cap on allied healthcare which would have put in jeopardy continuous access to healthcare by veterans.
Through questions asked in Senate estimates,it was clear that the impact of this policy on the 25,000 veterans who spend more than $5,000 on allied healthcare had not been thought through.
