I was delighted to attend the sod turning ceremony for Ipswich Grammar School’s new boarding bloc – not just as an Old Boy but also as the only Senator with an office in the Greater Ipswich Region.
Boarding facilities provide educational opportunities for students to attend schools like IGS from all over Australia and even internationally. I remember meeting former IGS boarders when I lived and worked in Papua New Guinea.
Thanks to the Head Master, the Trustees, the Staff and the IGS boarders who did a great job of ushering the dignitaries.
