This afternoon, I joined elected representatives from all three levels of government in welcoming 300 new Australian citizens at the Ipswich Civic Centre.
Citizenship ceremonies are a powerful reminder of the values that unite us – our democratic values, respect for the rights and liberties of our fellow Australians and the rule of law.
Congratulations to all those who took this important step today, and to their families and friends who supported them along the way!
