Following the dawn service, commemoration of ANZAC Day has continued in Springfield!
At the home of the Brisbane Lions (Brighton Homes Arena), the Greater Springfield RSL Sub-Branch hosted the Anzac AFL Cup!
I enjoyed the Womens match between the Australian Defence Force Lions and the Queensland Fire & Rescue Bears.
Prior to kick off there was a ceremony which featured a Black Hawke helicopter. There was also a visit by a QFS helicopter and another flyover by a C-27J Spartan!
Thanks again to the Greater Springfield RSL Sub‑Branch, organisers, veterans, volunteers, players and defence personnel for bringing our community together this Anzac Day.
