Today is Vietnam Veterans Day – held on the anniversary of the battle of Long Tan.
We honour the service, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of more than 60,000 Australians who served during the Vietnam War between 1962 and 1972.
I was honored to join Ipswich Mayor, Teresa Harding alongside other dignitaries, former serviceman and servicewomen, and their families at the Ipswich Wreath Laying Service.
It’s a day for all Australians to reflect on the service of Vietnam veterans and to acknowledge the challenges many faced upon returning home.
